The Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever is the smallest of the retrievers, yet has a big personality. Tollers are eager to please and happiest when at work. The playful frolicking of the Novie along the shoreline lures curious ducks within range of their hunting partners. After a successful hunt the Little Red Duck Dog heads out into the icy water to retrieve the bird. Affectionate, intelligent and agile the Nova Scotia Duck Toller loves being a member of an active family who enjoys the outdoors. 

The Novie pendant captures the dog in profile in a rare tranquil moment. The soft, sad eyes are looking off into the distance. The Nova Scotia Duck Toller charm features a duck with cattails in the foreground, giving an artistic nod to one of the Tollers favorite places. The Scotty’s slightly wedge shaped head has a broad nose, and high set rounded triangular ears that drop just below the corner of the eye. Antiquing at the neck gives dimension to the thick, soft double coat that protects the Tolling Retriever from the icy river water where they often are put to work.
